Summerhill Subdivision, one of Newmarket's most trendy and sought after neighbourhoods is bounded by Glenway Subdivision to the north and Yonge Street on the east, Bathurst to the west and the Town of Aurora on the South. Summerhill is one of Newmarket's largest and most diverse neighbourhoods offering virtually  every type and price range of home for the buyer, from semi detached and town homes for the first time buyer to elegant million dollar plus estate homes on 3/4 acre lots. In fact, a young couple could easily buy their first starter home in Summerhill, have their children, enroll them in the school system, move up to successively larger homes, kids finish elementary school and enroll in high school and then empty nester parents move back down to that retirement home and not relocate out of the subdivision. Summerhill really is made of up of 4 distinct areas: Summerhill (north) north of Mulock Dr. which is the original subdivision with home ranging from almost 20 years old to approx 10., Summerhill (south) south of Mulock with homes from 10 years to still being built, and 2 speciality subdivisions; Coventry Hills assessed off of Bathurst, south of Mulock with luxury homes on 3/4 acre lots between 15 to 5 years old, and Summerhill Woods newly built executive and estate townhomes.

Summerhill north, those streets north of Mulock south of Glenway (the original Summerhill) is built on historic land that was formerly the Mulock Farm. This land was part of the original land grant given to Sir William Mulock the former Post Master General of Canada. The original Mulock Mansion still remains at the north west corner of Yonge & Mulock on approx 10 acres, surrounded by park and mature trees. A mature maple forest has been preserved at the west end of the subdivision and surrounds the baseball diamond and half court basketball court which is visible at the west end of Clearmeadow, just before Bathurst.

Summerhill north was built almost entirely by 3 builders: Tribute Homes, a highly regarded builder that built heritage inspired townhomes on Warner Crescent & Bartholomew, H & R Homes that built detached homes throughout on 32', 40', & 50' lots and Acorn Developments that built a little higher price point of home with more deluxe finishes also on 32', 40 & 50' lots as well as higher end townhomes on Denise Circle, Jordanray and Osler.
